With 14 days left till the last recommended posting day, how many of us are still sending Christmas cards? The sincerity that a hand-written card offers seems to be still usurped by the use of Facebook. People have started to dread the task with many adopting a conveyor-belt approach or ignoring the task altogether.

Rather than writing thousands with no other feeling than that of dread or avoiding writing any altogether, why not write 14 between now and 21st December and make them good? Imagine receiving a gift of heart-felt words written in permanent ink just for you without it being visible to all and sundry and without a public share or a like insight? Sir Henry Cole, who sent the first Christmas card in 1843, would be proud.
